Seven species of Bostrychidae under the genera Rhizopertha Stephens, Dinoderus Stephens and Sinoxylon Duftschmid are reported from 27 different commodities from storehouses in Kolkata area. Diagnostic features, distribution, habitat records and effects on stored items of all seven species are dealt with and an identification key to these species is given.
